We were very worried when moving from paper to computer. 80% of the staff are over 40 and had not used a computer in the workplace never mind used a PMS. The training provided gave us confidence straight away and the telephone support is second to none.

We have been using Optix now for over 5 years and it has become an integral part of our practices.
During that time we have seen the system grow into a comprehensive management package that encompasses all you need to run a busy patient focused practice on a day to day basis (diary, record Read more keeping, dispensing, ordering, till, NHS reconciliation, direct debit payments, recall, stock control etc). Additionally Optix provides a fully integrated mailing and marketing suite combined with business intelligence and accounting tools to help us successfully manage & plan our business.
As result of the success of Optix we have seen the number of users grow many fold. Despite this the service we have received from Trevor & the support team has always been excellent and the support staff numbers have grown in line with number of users. Most issues are resolved instantly by telephone support and the team are also happy to extend their expertise to help solve problems with peripherals even when not supplied by Optix.
Another important facet of the Optix offering is Trevor's hands on approach and commitment to ongoing development. While Optix will never be a bespoke system for any individual practice Trevor and the support team are always receptive to suggestions for improvements and enhancements to the system. This via suggestions directly to telephone support, or through the unique online user group forum or at the annual user group meeting (which has also developed into quite a social event not to be missed).
We are especially looking forward to the forthcoming addition of online appointment booking and further integration of pre screening equipment. Optix has evolved into a powerful tool for independent opticians that not only makes us more efficient but also helps to differentiate our business from the competition.
I have every confidence that the improvements we have seen to Optix in the past will continue and we look forward to building our business in partnership with Trevor & the Optix team over the years to come.

We came to Optix from IRIS, the whole transfer process was smooth and cause surprisingly few worries. The system works very well, is stable and the knowledge that all of our data is safe and off site is invaluable when environment agency tell us that we are about to flood again!
The software is Read more very intuitive as shown by how little we have to use support, but when we do it's great that everyone knows your name, the practice and is enthusiastic and informative.
I would thoroughly recommend Optix especially if you are starting out in IT integration as the team are so helpful and the initial outlay is modest and transparent - there really are no hidden extras.

Support is great. Optix is vast. One can make use of the different modules to suit individual practice needs. I am sure the BI Module is the most advanced of any contemporary program available.
Although we ourselves do not use Optix in it’s full capacity I can only say that we have been totally happy with the service received and hence have never felt the need to move away.

If anyone were to ask me what one thing I would hate to be without in our practice, it would without doubt be our Optix Management System.
Far superior to our previous software, it’s basically like having an indispensable member of staff present all the time. Paying the same monthly fee, which we Read more consider to be great value, irrespective of how many features we used, quickly paved the way to our becoming a virtually paperless practice. It is so intuitive, incredibly flexible, can be accessed from home, provides fantastically in depth business reports but most importantly has the best support service you could ever wish for.
All of the Optix staff are incredibly well trained, patient and unbelievably conscientious. Trevor Rowley has such pride in the system that we are assured of continual product development, a prime example being the latest direct marketing tool.
Judith and I have recommended Optix to so many people and I am delighted to say that all have been come on board as happy users. So, in one word....Invaluable!

I have been through several IT installs and Optix is far and above the best experience we have had, their service & support has been fabulous and Matthew & Anthony were brilliant at our installation and on-site training.
I have been simply amazed at how well the system works, but to be honest the Read more stand out feature for me is the Optix team; whoever we speak to is friendly, relaxed and helpful, they can always answer questions/fix problems so quickly that on the rare occasion I have had to call I can do this confidently between appointments with no break in the smooth flow of the clinic (at least not for IT issues anyhow...).
A whole world away from my last PMS provider who had an 8 hour response time and did not appear to understand the software they provided!
Very many thanks again - highly recommended to anyone in the market for a fabulous IT system for their practice(s).

Compared to other software management systems used (Optisoft, Iris and briefly See2020), for us, the package is by far the most comprehensive and secure without having to worry about modules, backups or upgrades. The system works well and even when you think it is working effectively, through the Read more forward thinking and common sense approach of the MD, Trevor, as well as the knowledgeable feedback from the growing Optix community, it only gets better and better. The last major update saw a cost effective and time saving solution to our recall letters and patient communications.
In fact, I would wholeheartedly recommend Optix purely on their service levels alone. The support team have never failed to respond to any queries or training issues and are able to communicate with you whatever the level of your computer skills. It's hard to know whether it is wonderful recruitment or just great training but they all seem to have the patience of saints. Many thanks for supporting our practice.
