Rather than adopting the full system from Day One I am adding components as our confidence improves and we are able to change haw the practice functions. I am confident that before long we shall be "paperless".

I chose Optix for my practices for it’s seamless performance, vast functionality and extensive business reports & intelligence. Having acquired practices with two very different and inferior practice management systems, I can honestly say that Optix was the right choice out of all the various Read more software options that were showcased at Optrafair two years ago. My concerns about the downtime implications of an internet based system were quickly allayed when I was shown the option to be able to use locally stored data backups in the rare event of network faults or failures. At the very most, we have had only niggling issues which have largely been due to our ISP as opposed to Optix. The support team are fantastic and the company ethos of customer care and value that Trevor and his team have created is incredible. Even if a computer issue is not an Optix fault they team are always willing to dial in and help to diagnose and fix the issue.
Optix are, rightly, so confident in their system that they don’t have an initial payment of thousands of price with surcharges for additional licences and monthly support fees. One reasonable fee does the lot and you are not tied in for years. 30 days notice and you can move to another system. But why would you want to when Optix gives you everything you need to run a successful practice in an ever more competitive marketplace.
Ultimately, Optix is made with the end user in mind. All user feedback is regularly reviewed by the development team and suggestions are often incorporated into subsequent upgrades. It’s a system that ‘s defined by the customers and created by Optix. Like many practice owner/managers out there, I am a busy individual and need a reliable system with a decent level of support. No other system even comes close to giving me what I require. For me, Optix wasn’t just an option – it was, by far, the best solution for my needs.

When looking, some 10 years ago for a new practice management system I happened upon a new company on the market place. Being the inquisitive sort that I am, I dipped my toe in the fresh new water of this new company "Optix", used their system and I am delighted to say they have kept my boat Read more floating ever since.
Ever wishing to push forward the boundary of user friendliness and always listening to its customers, this company has done for this practice and for many others the huge favour of removing the not insignificant burden of records back up, record management, accounting, and practice admin tasks from the hum-drum of daily practice..
There is not one other optical management system out there which combines ease of use, intuitive interfaces and second-to-none support.
It is difficult to envisage how one practised all those yeas ago without the support and willingness to solve problems that the Software and the team behind optix. It is testament to their dedication and hard work that this software has become the de-facto standard to which all other optical managment systems must look.
I know that this all seems rather a "too-good-to-be-true" scenario, but I find it difficult to be critical about a piece of software the simply "does what its say on the tin" without fuss and has the support of a team of dedicated people, whose uniform belief that it is "product pride" is what business is all about.

The Optix system is a joy to use , it is well laid out and very user friendly. We have been using it for just over a year now, and have found it to be great value for money. The BI reporting saves me hours of trawling through KPI figures and they are neatly displayed with year on year comparisons. Read more Trevor and his team are always extremely helpful, and efficient. Comments for improvement to the system are taken on board and implemented if logistically possible. The forum is also a very useful tool as it is a way of networking with other practitioners of ways to improve your practice, or just to find an out of stock frame or have a general rant about the complexities of modern life !
I can highly recommend Optix as a valuable tool for any developing practice.

All of the Optix staff are incredibly well trained, patient and unbelievably conscientious. Trevor Rowley has such pride in the system that we are assured of continual product development, a prime example being the latest direct marketing tool.
